40 yrs and "a like new ankle"

As with anyone, its been quite the road to get to where we are, right here in this very moment, but I think back on several things, as I approach the small milestone of 40 and one of them is "damn, have I been accidently rough on my poor body". This year I am getting everything short of a right ankle replacement for an early birthday present. Ask me for any terrifying, gory details, I will be glad to share...pics later if I get them. Ugh. Anyway, just like with my hip surgery, I hate to ask for help with this. I hate to ask for help period. We do have the medical bills covered. We thankfully have the ACA for insurance, we make our monthly payments, we have met my yearly deductibles, the surgery is covered. What isn't covered is any home care, any after care, any recovery help. I cannot be home alone (Sara is OFF DA HOOK) and we really cannot afford to have Sam miss work. We have thought again about how we wanted to approach this situation. We decided that we would again do this-the gofundme
route- and also ask for some Sarasitters. So, if you can help in some way here, there or just with kind words (I am gonna be non-weight bearing for about 8 weeks) we all appreciate it. Please know that I do believe in the kindness of others, I live my life being that way.
