Miles for Mom

In November 2016, our mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  She had chemo treatments and surgery, in the hopes for cancer remission.  Neither one of these medical procedures were successful.

This past spring 2018, our mom was told by her doctor that she has peritoneal cancer, which is not curable.  This cancer is very rare and invades the thin layer of tissue around organs. With no cure, our mom will be continually receiving chemo treatments for the remainder of her life.

The medical and pharmaceutical costs of her treatments are costly but necessary.  She has always been a person that is a very hard worker and determined, but the costs she is incurring makes it hard to stay positive.  Our mom has always helped others and would literally give the shirt off her back for someone in need.

It is now our turn to help our mom.  Therefore, on October 13th, as a family, we will each walk 1 to 30 miles.  We are asking for pledges per mile or a flat donation, hoping that we may be able to help her with her medical treatment costs.  Every little bit will help our loving mom, who means everything to us.  We appreciate anything that you may be able to donate; every penny counts.
