Hi Friends.
This is Stanley, he is a 4 year old Frenchie. You wouldn't know this by looking at him though... he still looks like a puppy. Stanley is the most hilarious, non-food sharer, loving dog. On Saturday April 17th 2021 everything changed for him.
I was outside doing yard work in the beautiful 70 degree weather we were having in Washington. Stanley was walking around the yard, and my other dog Hank was tied up on the other side of my home. I walked around to the front of my house to go in the door, and there was a man on my front porch I had never seen before. I asked him his name and where he had come from, and none of his responses made any sense. He was talking about his family, and when I asked him where they were or if I could call anyone for him, he told me they were all dead. I went inside to get my phone to call 911 and get this man a glass of water to find when I came back out he was gone., and so was Stanley. I was running around my property in a panic looking for my dog when I heard my neighbor across the street screaming "He threw your dog! He threw your dog!!".
Stanley was thrown full force, from an unknown height or distance into the sticker bush filled ditch across the street by this unknown stranger, who we later learned was a homeless man on drugs.
He was rushed to an emergency vet, where he immediately received breathing treatments to stay alive. He suffered injuries to his neck and spine making his back legs immobile, he has an injury to his eye and cuts and bruises.
We are being recommended to have Stanley undergo an MRI and surgery to repair neck and spinal injuries.
The picture below is Stanley now, you can just see the hurt in his eyes and the milk mustache from his medicine. Below that.....all of the wonderful happy moments we have shared with him, and with your help, hope to have many more.
Our family thanks anyone that donates, shares, or even just sees Stanley's story. Everything helps.
Extra funds will be donated to NOAH in Stanwood, WA to help them get their MRI machine back up and running so they may continue the wonderful work they provide.
With Love,
Heather, Tony, Adan, Juaquin, Taelor, Hank, and Stanley.......
