Moxy’s Top Surgery and Recovery Fund!
Donation protected
Hey Folks!
I’m Moxy Hunter, and I’m a Black Trans Man, musician, personal trainer, baker, and full time van-dweller.
I am VERY excited to share that I have my Top Surgery set for December 3, 2020 with Dr. Sajan in Lynnwood.
I have know since the 3rd grade that I have needed top surgery. I have thought of myself as a boy for most of my life, and when I was 24 I was ready to come out and start living my life as my true self.
I endlessly day dream of being able to go shirtless without a binder. I dream of what it would be like to flex in the mirror and see a chest that I can be proud of and comfortable with. I dream of the day of just being able to stop worrying about my chest all the time.
Being trans is expensive. On average most trans people will spend $50,000-$100,000 during their transition. Unfortunately, when you find out you are trans, there isn’t a magical trans genie that can wish you into the correct body.
Upon the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I lost my job and my insurance coverage as well. Fortunately, I have qualified for the option to finance my payment and would appreciate any donations to assist with the cost of the surgery. The cost for the procedure is $9,000 and the prescriptions, supplies, meals, rehab, travel, etc. the final cost will total about $10,000.
I am grateful to be able to recover at my parents’ home in Snohomish and have the assistance of my partner to help me through the recovery.
Realistically I won’t be able to work for 2 months after the surgery and all of my savings has gone into making this happen.
I have a hard time asking people for help, let alone asking people for money....But here I am asking my friends, family, and internet strangers to donate and help make this dream of mine, a less stressful reality.
Any amount helps and I already feel so blessed by the amount of love and support I have received for this surgery so far.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
Peace and Blessings
