Mowgli's Back Surgery

Sadly my 3-year-old Frenchie Mowgli has suddenly lost the function of his back legs due to what multiple vets say the reason is that he has Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) of his lower back.
This happened very suddenly, there was no warning signs/ symptoms, from one day to the next he was unable to use his back legs and was crying, shaking, and panting from the pain he was in.
The only option for him to regain use of his back legs and be able to walk again is to get surgery that costs upwards of $6,000.
I just recently moved to NYC with him to start a great new chapter in my life and pursue my career. I also recently graduated from college (paying back loans) and don't have the means to get him the procedure he so despreately needs to walk again.
It is very urgent that the surgery be done soon, if it is not done soon he could lose pain receptors in his back legs and no longer be able to walk ever again. If the disease isn't surgically fixed soon the disease could go an even SCARIER route and travel upwards and cause damage to essential nerves that control his breathing whichcan cause him to suddenly stop breathing.
I hate that I need to ask my friends and family for help but its really my only option. This is such a dark time for me considering it being a new yea. My circumstance has become so sad and helpless.
Please, from all my friends, family, and even strangers that love animals, I ask that you help me get to my goal so I can get Mowgli the surgery he needs to be the energetic and loving pup that he is. If you've ever met Mowgli you know he's a stubbron little monster thats going to fight the whole way through, all he needs is a little help from loved ones :)
