Moving Mountains for Ryan

Donation protected

Ryan was born with very serious heart defects.

Ryan’s heart condition is known as a Single Ventricle Heart. Against all odds, Ryan is a true miracle and a gift from God having undergone three (3) Open Heart Surgeries. His first surgery was when he was only 4 days old, the 2nd at 1 ½ yrs. and the third at almost 4 years of age.Despite all obstacles of growing up with a challenging heart condition, Ryan’s tenacity and passion for life has helped him to manage considerably well over the past 10 years.  Although in the past year, Ryan has undergone numerous procedures and testing because he has been struggling with fatigue and exhaustion. His most recent Cardiac Stress Test revealed that he is suffering with Arrhythmias and Heart Block. His Cardiologist and medical team at Columbia Presbyterian Children’s Hospital In New York determined he would need  to have open heart surgery for a Pacemaker insertion.

Ryan will have his 4th Open Heart Surgery in August 2017 at Columbia Presbyterian Children’s Hospital in New York.

Ryan has not been able to work because of his condition and there is no doubt he will be faced with lots of struggles and challenges ahead of him.  With the support of family and friends, I know he will overcome all odds as he is truly a champion and miracle of our family.

Ryan, family and I have lived in Florida for the past 18 years. We have been so blessed throughout the years to travel back and forth to New York to get the best care and treatments for him. The team of Cardiologists and Surgeons at the Columbia Presbyterian Children’s Hospital in New York are remarkable and he must continue to receive the best quality and expertise of care at Columbia Children’s Hospital.

It has taking me some time to articulate this letter, because I have struggled with the thought of asking for donations for Ryan’s medical bills, travel and necessities.  Ryan will be an inpatient in the hospital anywhere from 4-6 weeks.  The costs will be monumental.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look over Ryan’s Story and for considering contributing to help him through this frightening time in his life.
Please keep Ryan in your Prayers for a successful and speedy recovery.

Forever grateful,

 Ryan and Family.
