The Problem Facing America: The U.S. overall trade deficit on goods dangerously exploded to $1 TRILLION in 2021 and supply chains are in disarray as America continues outsourcing its manufacturing base to countries, especially China. Help IntelliLeash® Products do our part to move the manufacturing of our products out of China and into America!
Our Mission: At IntelliLeash® Products, we combine a deep love for pets with a passion for creating innovative products that really work. We are committed to making pets and their people safe, happy, and comfortable. We are seeking help in becoming a market disrupter by moving production of products which are almost exclusively produced in China to America.
The Real Issue:
Too many products, including many of our own, are produced in China. I went into business with the passion to produce “Made in America” products only to discover that it was impossible to compete against large corporations producing their products in China. Over recent decades the manufacturing base of America has been outsourced to a dangerous level. The shortages of vital products and material resources experienced over the past 2 years should be the wake-up call America needs.
The last couple of years has been tough for large and small companies alike. Small businesses, especially those that rely on imported products or goods like IntelliLeash®, have struggled far worse. Large corporations for the most part remain committed to the “Profit over Principle” mentality without regard for what that means for our country and the people in it. If large corporations are going to ignore the need to bring manufacturing and supply chains back to America, it is up to consumers and small business entrepreneurs to step up and make the necessary changes. Consumers must demand “Made in America” products and small entrepreneurs must make the difficult decision to decouple from China or we will soon see the decline of America. It’s not an understatement to say that America is vulnerable to catastrophic disaster should our supply chain be further impeded by the runner-up countries of the world.
About IntelliLeash® Products:
IntelliLeash® Products is a pet products company based in Romeoville, IL that designs, markets, and sells pet supplies and accessories to pet owners that will enrich the safety, comfort, and happiness of their pets.
Our USA patented Intelli-Stayk™ is the product we built our brand around. We have grown our product offering to include 4 variations of the Intelli-Stayk™, a wide variety of tie-out cables, natural rubber and rope chew toys, and most recently launched our first product for cats.
Most recently, we have developed an innovative design with a patentable feature aimed to replace the millions of traditional dog tie-out stakes that sell on nearly every pet products platform and in retail stores that sell pet products. We can’t show you our design yet because we are not yet at that stage in our patent application but want you to know it includes features that make it more durable, more environmentally friendly, safer for your pet, and with your help 100% Made in America.
About the Founder of IntelliLeash:
My name is Bob Yackley, and I am the President, Founder, and Entrepreneur behind IntelliLeash Products. The word entrepreneur is defined as a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so. Anyone who considers themselves an entrepreneur or small business owner knows that this definition only skims the surface of the hard work and sacrifice it takes to start with an idea and turn it into a successful business. I started with an idea in 2012 which has grown to become a modestly profitable business run by myself and my family. I am immensely proud of what I have been able to create and am enthusiastic about what the future holds.
My professional experiences that qualify me to run a successful startup include a diverse history. IntelliLeash® Products is my second successful business startup. Prior to that, I’ve worked in automation nearly my entire adult life in the following environments:
- Operating and maintaining high speed bottling equipment
- Production Manager of a paper converting company where I researched and implemented production automation that increased productivity by 400% with a 50% reduction in labor
- Plant manager of a gourmet gift company, overseeing production capacity growth from $3MM to $13MM in sales in 3 years
- Successful sales position selling automated packaging systems to companies from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies
- Owner of 3 patents
How your donations will be used:
We have several phases of implementation goals, and your donations will be used based on the following priorities:
- Purchasing, or applying donations towards the purchase of robotic steel forming equipment necessary to form the steel components of our 4 variations of the Intelli-Stayk™, our Tent-Stayk™, and our new design for the common dog tie-out stake. This will potentially allow us to move hundreds of tons of steel fabrication out of China and into American made products using American steel.
- Hiring and training skilled labor to operate equipment
- Purchasing injection molding equipment and tooling for performing the over-molding of the plastic components onto the steel. This will allow us to be more competitive without needing to use 3rd party molding companies
- Purchasing punch presses for various required stamping of parts
- Purchasing plastic extruding machinery allowing us to make our own tie-out cables instead of purchasing from China. This could also result in moving many tons of braided steel cable production to American manufacturing.
- Any funds left over will be used to support other small American producing pet products companies through partnership arrangements
NOTE: The minimum funds required to do the first phase is $300,000. If we fall short in raising that amount, we will still use the funds raised towards “Made in America” products by either obtaining a loan to cover the balance or switching our above priority list order and implement lesser impactful phases first.
