Moving forward with Kindra & Kaiden

Donation protected
Dear Kindra's friends, family and followers,

"Think hard, study hard, learn a lot - I love you."  I said this to her every morning, dropping her off at school.  I never said good bye - only move forward.  In school, in life, working with me, she has always looked forward.  Even now in the whispered talks about final good byes her focus is on moving forward.

Many have asked - what can we do? what can we say? There is nothing that makes this easier or better.

Rather than flowers or meals or cards, we would like to set up a way to say I care, I love you, I wish I could make it better.  Any of you who have gone through this understands the emotioanal as well as the basic financial issues.

The most difficult thing for Kindra has been asking for help.  Nobody thought this day would come.  She speaks with social workers from her bed and knows as a 27-year-old mom she has not had the time to provide for all the things that her 5-year old Kaiden will need such as birthday presents, school pictures, class jackets, proms, graduation, college, etc.  It's what she worries about more than anything else.  What about Kaiden?  How could she not think of any other question?  How does Kaiden move forward?

To all of you who know Kindra, you know what a special person she is.  Those of you who have had the privilege of following her journey in the battle of colon cancer over the last year know what a brave person she has been.  She has kept us up to date on her journey through Facebook (www.Facebook.com/KindraDJackson).

We are establishing this fund to let her know Kaiden will be taken care of, her expenses will be taken care of and she, nor Kaiden, will be a burden on her loved ones.  The funds will be used to take care of final expenses and establish a fund for the benefit of Kaiden.  If you are worried about using the internet or want to write a check directly, you can send that to me, her dad at The Don Jackson Group, PC; 110 N Elm Street; Three Oaks, MI 49128.  It's our way to toss her and Kaiden up on our shoulders like I have done so many times and show her we are here.  Even after this good bye, family and friends will help Kaiden move forward because we love her.
