Moving Expenses to Las Cruces, NM

"Times is 'ard, times is 'ard!" Friends, I need your help.
The truth is, I didn't save enough for my retirement in New Mexico. At least not enough to pay for the cross-country move to ship my stuff from storage in Englewood NJ to my new home in Las Cruces NM. Originally, I had planned a
U-haul move over Thanksgiving weekend with friends helping out to load the truck and help on the drive Those plans fell through when one came down with COVID and another had to isolate because of exposure to it. So I am trying to raise the funds to have a mover do it. The $4000 quote from a reputable moving company is the best deal I got. I shopped around. If possible, I'd like the move to happen no later the Feb 15th before the next storage bill comes. I really need my things. I don't want to have to rebuy things that I already own in New Jersey.
I threw away a lot when I left New York, but in storage, I still have furniture to fill two bedrooms and equipment for a home recording studio. Having those would be useful as I could rent rooms as an Airbnb. The studio will give me the ability to record voiceovers at home to supplement my social security and pension. Money is tight. I've never lived in a house and the large utility bills that go with it? They're much more than I bargained for. (I figured water but waste-water, sewage, garbage and recycling? Who knew?)
It's hard for me to ask for help with this but your support would help me immeasurably. My pride got in the way of doing so sooner but I see no other way, not without the bread and butter work I had in the theater that has all dried up. COVID has affected everyone. It has been really difficult during the lockdown here in New Mexico to meet people or find work of any sort. Eventually, I believe things will return to something resembling normal. I have no doubt that the move would make things easier and really make Las Cruces NM my home.
