moving across country for sobriety & well being

I’m making a very important decision to move from Houston to Washington state very last minute, as it is very detrimental for my mental health and sobriety from alcohol. I’ll be headed that way this coming Saturday, October 10th and should be arriving by the 14th or the 15th.

It’s very difficult to get affordable and legitimate health care in the south without insurance, and in Washington they have a lot of great programs for not only sobriety, but for mental health care as well. A lot more jobs up there also provide health insurance. I’m making this decision to have greater access to affordable therapy so I can get properly diagnosed and finally get the help I need for my mental health, as well as to get away from this extremely toxic city that I’ve been stuck in for the majority of my life.

This money will be going to things like a deposit for an apartment, affordable furniture/appliances I may need if the apartment doesn’t provide them, and the move in general which will be driving there and back and there and back again. It’s going to be very expensive, and considering I’m leaving sort of in an emergency for my own well being... I haven’t prepared whatsoever because I never knew this was going to be an option for me.

anything helps. Thank you in advance
