Hi! My name is Tiffanie, the previous 3 1/2 years have been the most difficult and challenging years of my life. Just before this time, I was rear-ended while at a stop light. From this accident I was diagnosed with a concussion, subsequent post-concussive syndrome and whiplash. During the recovery from this, I was a passenger in 2 additional auto accidents, one in 2016 and the other in 2017. Each of these rendering me with further and more extensive injuries and trauma. From these more recent accidents I was diagnosed with newly compounded concussions and post-concussive syndrome resulting in severe traumatic brain injury, whiplash that has left my entire skeletal system misaligned and a break in my lower spine. Due to these compounded injuries and without proper rehab I struggle to maintain a schedule, sleep, exercise, even eat regularly which keeps me chronically fatigued and, in a spiraling, circle fighting to function. The brain trauma leaves me with a limited vocabulary, affected short and long-term memory, difficulty with comprehension and processing of information and emotions. It has left me slower to problem solve, I suffer from tinnitus as well as a very long list of other symptoms that impair my life and make it impossible for me to seriously pursue and dedicate myself to anything outside of basic functioning and healing.

Challenging my situation further, the compounded damage to my brain made it impossible to continue with the deeply seeded compartmentalization of all the sexual, physical and emotional traumas that I have endured. The traumas that haunt me, the daily anxiety and severe depression that roll through me, as well as the hyper vigilance that often times leaves me sleepless and overwhelmed are only a few of the symptoms of the C-PTSD that has become inescapable and uncontrollable following the 3rd and most recent accident. Additionally, my impaired mental faculties make treatment for the C-PTSD impossible as the processes don’t fully take. This is severely impacting my life.

I was not at fault for any of the accidents, and 2 of the drivers were uninsured leaving me to pay for all my medical expenses out of pocket. My promising future was replaced with months that have turned into years of struggle and inability to communicate, retain or recall information and sometimes even leave my room or home at all. There were periods of time where my jeep was my home just so I could attempt to find and afford the medical support I desperately need.

Since the initial concussion, with my limited capacity, I have seen 2 Chiropractors, 1 Neurologist and 3 Neuro-specialists. This most recent specialist is the 1st to have a plan of action and provide me with honest hope that I can heal and recover from these injuries. That I won’t have to suffer forever. This is where I need your help…

The total duration required of intensive rehabilitation to get me back to healthy can only be determined while going through the medical process. Due to the severity of each injury and the duration of time I have gone unable to afford adequate treatment it is highly recommended that I complete a minimum of 3 sessions of intensive rehab. These sessions each last 1 week and cost roughly $7,000 each; this includes lodging. The rehab center and Neuro-specialist are located just South of Portland, OR.

I can’t hold a job or pursue my ambitions due to the Traumatic Brain Injury rendering me with a severely limited capacity. (My sister had to help me write my story.) This brain rehabilitation has been proven and is my best chance to return me to a functioning and capable adult.
