<div><strong> We’re The Skoolyard</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A McGill student club helping young men build real friendships, create cool things, and talk openly about the pressure to “be great” all the time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re not here to sell you a morning routine or promise you $10K/month from your laptop.
</div>
<div>We’re here to talk about <strong>why that pressure exists in the first place</strong> — and how the online “guru” industry has convinced our generation that our worth equals our income.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That kind of mental conditioning is burning guys out before they even start.
</div>
<div>We’re flipping that script — one honest conversation, one event, one inside joke at a time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In just three weeks, we’ve grown to 40+ members on Skool.com, and now we’re turning that energy into action.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> Two Fundraisers. One Mission.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>1️⃣ Movember.ca</strong> → All donations there go directly to the Movember Foundation to support global men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and cancer research (you’ll get a tax receipt).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>2️⃣ This GoFundMe</strong> → Funds our student-run movement right here at McGill. Every dollar helps us host events, run awareness campaigns, and create a space where guys can be honest, curious, and human again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> Where the money goes</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Hosting mental health workshops and “Clarity Chats” on campus
</div>
<div>• Funding our first-ever <strong>Winter Wellness Retreat </strong>(Airbnb + group dinner for our top 10 most active members)
</div>
<div>• Creating resources and merch to keep spreading awareness year-round
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds here go directly to <strong>The Skoolyard Club</strong>. Movember donations are handled separately through Movember.ca — we’ll share proof of both on Instagram @theskoolyard.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong> Why it matters</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’ve all felt it — the quiet pressure to perform, to grind, to never fall behind.
</div>
<div>And if we’re honest, it’s breaking a lot of us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Skoolyard exists to help guys remember that <em>you’re not behind — you’re just human.</em>
</div>
<div>That purpose comes from connection, not comparison.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>✊ Let’s redefine what it means to “man up.”</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s not about grinding harder.
</div>
<div>It’s about showing up — for yourself and for each other.
</div>
<div>And yeah, maybe playing a little basketball while we’re at it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
