Move Mountains for Salvador

I, Mike Mora, am making this account for Sal, my father-in-law. I have known Sal for a few years now. From the moment I met this man, I knew I would always have a soft spot for him in my heart. Sal is one of the most hardworking, caring men I have ever met. He works hard for his family, and has a huge heart. Sal has been a tour bus driver for most of his life. In this line of work, he is required to be away from his family anywhere from 4 days to 6 months at a time. I would say that not any man has what it takes to do that. But Sal does. Sal is willing to sacrifice his time with his family in order to be able to properly provide for his family. He now has 7 grandchildren , two which are on their way, who love their grandpa very much.

However, about two months ago, Sal started getting pains in his chest when he swallowed food. The pain got so bad that that he was unable to work. He started going to the doctor to get check ups, and then follow ups, to see what was wrong. And what we feared the most happened to come true. Sal has been diagnosed with CANCER. None of us ever thinks it can happen to us, until it does. He has being diagnosed with two cancerous tumors that they found. One tumor is in his esophagus, which makes it difficult for him to swallow any food. And the other tumor is located in his stomach which makes it painful for him when he does swallow his food. As a result, Sal is losing weight on the daily due to not eating properly. He will be going in soon to his doctor to speak of whether they can even operate that area, or if they will go with chemo, or see what other alternatives there are for him.

As a result of this, Sal has been out of work for the past 6 weeks. And unfortunately in his line of work, they don't offer him any sick pay or vacation time. So at the moment he has no income coming in. This is putting a burden on his family and especially him. He has car payments, rent, life insurances, and the medical bills are already coming in. I would love to ease his mind and have him worry about a speedy recovery, and not have to worry about all the expenses that he can not keep up with. All donations will be used towards this great cause. It is hard for one person to help him out...but if we all unite and give what we can, we can all make a huge impact on Sal and his family.

This cause means so much to me because I love Sal. He has always treated me with love and respect and I know he deserves this. He is such a good man, an awesome friend, a good father, a great husband, an amazing grandfather, that I want him to pull through this and be able to live past this obstacle in his life. I want Sal to grow old enough to see his grandchildren graduate college, to walk his daughter down the isle. I want him to not worry about not being able to afford the medical help he requires. I want him to have his mind focused on simply getting better.
