Move Mountains for Chandler

Meet my sister Ashley Archer, her husband Skyler Archer, first born Mason and baby Chandler. (Image #1)

Thanksgiving 2016...my sister and her family came to visit from Omaha here in TX. During the visit, she and Skyler found out they were expecting their second child and I was given the honor of being the first person they told. They were overjoyed and so excited to grow their young family.

At Ashley's 20 week scan their world was turned upside down when it revealed that baby Chandler was missing all of the fingers on his right hand. As we were all reeling from that news the next scan revealed that Chandler would have clubbed feet. (Image #2)

As if all of this weren't enough, at only 30 weeks gestation, Ashley's water broke. As dilligent as the medical staff were to prevent birth, Chandler was born within 2 days of the rupture.  (Image #3). They were able to give Ashley two doses of steroids to help Chandler's lungs mature and when he was born he did really well considering the circumstances. He stayed in the NICU for about 7 weeks.

Within a couple of weeks of going home, they began Chandler's clubbed foot journey. Several weeks of casts (Image #4). Chandler went through a rigorous process of 8 sets of casts and a surgery to clip his achilles tendon and after about 12 weeks he finally got his casts off. After the cast, he would move into a brace (Image #5) that he would wear 23 hours per day for 2-3 months. Ashley and Skyler were told that if all went well in that time frame that he would be wearing the brace for naps and bedtime only.

Sadly enough after dilligently following all of the rules, Chandler's feet are not corrected. After getting a second opinion from a well reknowned club foot doctor in St. Louis it was determine that the protocol followed by his original doctor was too aggressive and procedures were done when Chandler's feet were not ready. All of this to say, Chandler has to go through this entire process a second time.  This time Ashley and Skyler would like to take Chandler to the doctor in St. Louis to ensure a proper repair. Unfortunately, there is a lack of funding due to previous medical bills and reduced hours for Skyler at work to provide care for Chandler as his current medical status does not allow him to go to a childcare facility. Ashley has used all of her vacation and the family has used all of their savings.  They were gifted by a charity organization, four family airfares to St. Louis which is an answered prayer but in order to use them, they need some help with expenses while in St. Louis, such as meals, lodging, transportation, fuel and copays.

I know that God gave Chandler to Ashley because she will fight for him...fiercely. She is an amazing, strong and driven mama and she will fight for her boys till her last breath. I love her. I love her husband. I love her babies. Please help the Archer's to correct Chandler's feet.

Thank you.
