Move Mountains 4 Domingo & Lillian

On September 20,2017 Hurricane Maria, a Category 5 Hurricane, tore across the US territory of Puert Rico at speeds of 160 mph leaving our beautiful little island with catastrophic damage. My parents live in Yauco Puerto Rico which is on the south side of the island. There is no electricity, no running water and no telecommunications. Ther are experiencing lines of over 6 hours to get gasoline, banks only allowing to take out $100 per day, no way of contacting others since phone lines and fiber optics are destroyed.

My mohter, Lillian, has late-stage Multiple Sclerosis, which means she is restricted to a bed at all times and has no use of the legs, arms or neck. My Father, Domingo, is her care-giver, who bathes, feeds and does everything for her. At this point in time, the devastation is unbearable and I am asking for help to be able to bring supplies and water to my parents, and eventually bring them to my residence in California.

My heart aches knowing my parents are going through this;our lives are completely chaged. The situation has become a humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico, and I truly believe that when we come together we can move mountains.

Your donations will be used to buy mosquito repellent, lamps, water, vitamins, Ensure, batteries, portable water filter, canned goods, portable fans, medical supplies, a reclining wheelchair, medicine and hopefully plane tickets.

My plan is to take these items personally as soon as the airport resumes commercial flights in and out of the island.
