Mountain Rangers - Mountain Climb
Donation protected
On Sunday 22nd September we are raising funds for our group by holding a Sponsored Walk around Ivinghoe Beacon
As we're Mountain Rangers it can't be just any old walk! The children will have 12hours and 14minutes (that's sunrise to sunset) to complete as many laps as possible of a scenic course. Each lap is 3.11km long (all those .11's will add up!) and has 100 metres of ascent.
14 Laps = Ben Nevis (The Highest Mountain in
Scotland and the UK)
11 Laps = Mount Snowdon (The Highest
Mountain in Wales)
10 Laps = Scafell Pike (England’s Highest
Mountain)
8 Laps = Kirk Fell in the Lake District
6 Laps = Black Combe (UK’s smallest Mountain)
If you want to leave a message for the young person you are sponsoring we will be able to see who is our champion fundraiser!
Mountain Rangers is a small group and one of a kind! It is run wholly by volunteers who give their time freely. All the money received in subs, camp fees, grants and any other sources is used solely for the benefit of the group.
