WE ARE IN NEED OF A LIFT FOR THE DISABLED AT MOUNT ZION 7th DAY CHURCH OF GOD (UK INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE) CROYDON ENGLAND


FUNDRASING FOR A DISABLED LIFT AT MOUNT ZION CHURCH

The above organisation’s HQ building is used as a public facility and for Christian worship. Due to the Equality Act 2010, which relates to access to services, we have to comply with the Building Regulations and European Standards to meet the needs of disabled people.  The building, therefore, must be free from physical barriers to enable all
disabled persons to gain access to the building.  


ABOUT MOUNT ZION 7th DAY CHURCH OF GOD 

The Mount Zion 7th Day Church of God was founded in 1882 in the United States of America through the efforts of dedicated Sabbath keepers. Through the same efforts it was brought to the UK from Jamaica.

 The International Headquarters

The Mount  Zion 7th Day Church Of God started in London under the leadership of Bishop E. S. Henry.

In 1971 he received a special message from the Heavenly Father to evangelize. That same year C. D. Reid, the late Bishop and President of the Mount Zion Sanctuary 7th Day Assemblies of Jamaica visited the United Kingdom and ordained him as a Minister.

Pastor Henry and his family together with Pastor Parr and his family started a fellowship in Streatham South London. The fruitfulness of this ministry can be seen from the establishment of the International Headquarter Church in London and several branches within the UK and also incorporated and affiliated Conferences and churches in Jamaica, Guyana (South America), St Maartens, Pakistan, India, Kenya, Tanzania, and St. Lucia.


Mount Zion 7th Day Church of God (UK International Conference) depends on the attendance of its members and visitors who use the building for general worship services and other facilities. A high percentage of people who attend our services are voluntary financial donators to the organisation. In order for the building to comply with the Equality Act 2010, a lift for the disabled at an estimated cost of £17,000.00 needs to be installed at the building. The voluntary donations we receive from our members and visitors are insufficient and therefore we are unable to meet the above cost.


HOW CAN YOU HELP 

We are appealing to everyone who receives this to donate to this worthy and necessary cause. All funds raised will go towards the purchase and installation of the lift. This lift will not only be used by our disabled members and visitors but members of the general public.

CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

For many years members of the church rotate and  volunteer to feed the homeless who face social deprivation within the community.   Without our help it would have a great impact on these visitors especially durng the cold winter months as they depend on a warm nutritious meal and hot beverage.   The funds come directly from the church  so its important that we keep this ministry going.  If we a prohibited by law, then these vulnerable people will also be affected.
