Mount Toubkal. Round 2

Hello, so a very last minute decision to set this page. 8 of us (5 of the original team) set off tomorrow back to Morocco to complete the challenge that we started in 2023 which was to summit Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa whilst raising funds for our wonderful hospice, Halton Haven.

As you are all aware our team are all lucky to be here, after being caught up in the devastating earthquake in the Atlas Mountains on the 8th September 2023. We were due to summit Mount Toubkal a couple of hours after the earthquake, needless to say we didn’t summit and under the guidance of our wonderful ground team we got out safely and back home to our families.

Many friends and family have asked if we have fundraised for this trip, up to now we haven’t, hence this page. All donations will be split 50 50 between Halton Haven Hospice and whatever is needed locally in Morocco.

We will be updating our journey (signal permitting) over the 3 days it will take us. We aim to be back in Marrakech on Saturday late afternoon.
