Mount Holly Pump Track

We have met our goal to fund the pump track!!! However, we would love to go above and beyond to add extra bike park features, trail improvements, bikes, helmets, and picnic tables for families to enjoy! If you would still like to contribute, please know that the raised funds would be utilized towards our overall bike program at the school.


Dear Mount Holly School Supporter,

 

The brightly colored bike trailer from Local Motion shows up at the Mount Holly School parking lot every year. The students see the trailer and know instantly that the bikes have finally arrived for their physical education class. As everyone anxiously awaits their turn on the bikes, the excitement and joy are contagious.

 

The first-year Mount Holly participated in this program over 30 students learned how to ride a bike for the first time. Over the years, students have learned to ride, be safe on their bikes, be prepared for road readiness, learned bike maintenance, handling and turning, and other mountain biking skills. The students have taken these skills and their love for biking and created their own bike trail through the woods using clippers and rakes.

We are now looking to expand the program further with the addition of a pump track at Mount Holly School. This pump track will allow our students to improve their skills and take the bike program to a whole new level, teaching students the necessary skills used in mountain biking. The community could use a pump track located at the Mount Holly School for years as pump tracks are easily maintained and are designed for longevity. It would become a central place to ride, spend time being outside and stay physically active in the community.

 

We ask for donations from people like you to help this project get off the ground. No matter how big or small, your donation will have a significant impact on the success of this project and the future joy it will bring the students of MHS and the surrounding communities.
