**UPDATE** We are now aiming to raise the $2,000 by November 25th! (Shipping is free until December, which would add an extra $500).
The Mount Baker Middle School choir program has been growing, and is now up to 147 students and five choirs! Our school is a Title 1 school, with 62% free and reduced lunch. For the last few years, our choir students have used standing risers as seats in class, which places their knees in their chest and is incredibly uncomfortable for an 80 minute class period. These students have outgrown these risers, and need "seated risers" with chairs for an appropriate rehearsal environment. The Mount Vernon Schools Foundation has already donated $1,000 to the cause, and we only need $2,000 more to make it happen! These kids work incredibly hard every day, and they deserve the best rehearsal space possible!
