Bill's Battle With Neurosarcoidosis

My brother Bill has always been there for his friends and family whenever they needed him.  Now he needs us to be there for him.
     Last year, Bill became very sick at work.  His wife, Tracy, took him to DCH in Tuscaloosa and he was immediately admitted to ICU.  After many tests were ran, it was discovered that Bill had lesions all over his brain stem and spinal cord.  Believing it was probably cancer, he was transferred to UAB in Birmingham.  Bill was in UAB for over a month!  After a month of drawing blood several times a day, performing multiple spinal taps and biopsies, removing tissue from his spinal cord for testing, and conducting many other tests, Bill was diagnosed with neurosarcoidosis.  
     Neurosarcoidosis is a rare auto-immune disease with no known cure.  Spontaneous remission sometimes occurs but long-term therapy is often required.  Bill is currently taking several medications due to his illness.  Bill is now unable to work due to the effects of sarcoidosis.  This is where we come in!  Bill and his family need financial help and I know that he is too proud to ask for it himself.  With Bill being unable to work, the normal monthly bills are beginning to pile up.  On top of that, they have some very large medical bills that they have to take care of (when he was at UAB, he had an oncology team, a neurology team, and an infectious disease team on his case).
     I set up this page in order to help Bill and his family with all of their bills and to help alleviate some of the stress that they are facing.  Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and help out.  We will keep you up to date with how his road to recovery is going!  God Bless!!!
