Mother's Day Action at Homestead Prison Camp

It's official!  Mother's Day action at Homestead Prison Camp.  On board so far and leading are FLIC, American Friends Service Committee, We Count, Homes Instead (activists who have held daily vigil and organized on the ground for 75 days thus far), in partnership with Women's March Florida, Friends of Miami-Dade Detainees and others to be added as they confirm.

We are just beginning  to plan, but have some great ideas to shine a light on the irreversible harm being imposed on our children for the purposes of deterring migration, sanctioned by the anti-immigration policies of this administration, fueled by massive profits, and maintained by secrecy couched in alleged misapplied government loopholes.  We cannot wait for the courts to deem this prison illegal; we ned to shut it down and get the children in homes with family or other supportive non-profit transparent appropriate programs.

For these ideas and to get logistics and safety measures in place, we need funding.  Please consider adding to this Mother's Day community collaboration by donating what you can.  Any surplus funds will go to Homes Instead and/or other community efforts to shut this facility down and/or provide necessary resources to children upon release.
