This is Shantal Ernst (Villeneuve)
She is a devoted wife and mother to her five children and one step-son. Everything she does, she does out of kindness. She has a nurturing way to her and has been a Certified Personal Support Worker for nine years, as well as a in training Maternal Support Practitioner, Eco-Baby & Infant Sleep Educator, Certified Reiki Master & Crystal Healer, and Certified Reflexologist for the past four years. Caring for others is one of the things that drew me to her and made me fall in love with her.
But now she’s the one in need of the same kindness, and care. She needs help affording equipment to help her live more comfortably. Shantal suffers from Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Benign Positional Vertigo, Complex Sleep Apnea, Insomnia, Scoliosis in the thoracic spin, Spina Bifida Occulta, Schmorl's Nodes that causes protruding discs in the spine, Tethered Cord Syndrome on the Lumbar spine (she has a large cyst on her sacrum that the doctors are wanting to remove), Bilateral Piriformis Syndrome which is chronic back/hip/pelvic pain that flares ups 24/7, Pubis Symphysis Dysfunction, Diastasis Recti (pain and no elasticity in the abdominal wall), and Plantar Fasciitis in both feet. She recently was struggling more with pain and mobility and once accessed she was diagnosed with Paresthesia from the waste down which in layman’s terms is, intense nerve pain and numbness. She has a diagnosis of Peripheral Neuropathy, which is a result of damage to the nerves outside of the brains and spinal cord. Most recently her diagnoses has been that Shantal has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This is not even mentioning that Shantal also struggles with mental diagnoses as well. Shantal has been struggling with chronic back pain since she was a teenager. It got worse in 2011 due to a horseback riding accident. Since then the pain has been progressively getting worse. She has been seeing specialists within the past 9 years and not much has come from medication trials and physiotherapy and chiropractic work. Within the past 17 months she has been losing mobility from the waste down caused by Paresthesia and MS. Her physicians are wonderings if the Tethered Cord Syndrome is possibly linked to her MS. Even with all of this Shantal still manages to be an incredible mother, partner, sister and friend. She is so giving but doesn’t always make time for herself. I want to help get her taken care of by asking for donations so we can afford her wheel chair instead of rentals, and home installations of a stair lift and other equipment and safety bars to help with her mobility. She needs help to cover costs for travel to be able to meet a been seen by a neurosurgeon in Toronto and helping with medication costs as well.
I know we are asking a lot from strangers, if we had family to turn to to ask for help we would. I love this woman very much, if I can take her pain away I absolutely would. I even started legally growing cannabis in our home to make her infused medicine so it can ease some of her pain via edibles, hemp baths, etc. I wish I can cure her diseases. I want her to live comfortably, but unfortunately with 6 children we cannot afford all of these expenditures. Thank you greatly to those that take the time to read this and donate for a great cause for our family. We greatly appreciate every prayer. Blessed be.
