Working mother of 5 loses to cancer

Donation protected
Sohaila Ahmadi was a 39 year old working mother of 5 young children. Her eldest daughter the age of 15 and youngest son 5 years old. Her husband became ill and could no longer work. Despite all odds and inequality woman face daily in Afghanistan, Sohaila did not hold back when it came to supporting her family. As some may know, there are no government assistance in Afghanistan, so it was up to her to determine her family's future. She rented a room from a family and converted half the room into a beauty salon.

Sohaila worked day and night to provide for her children. She was determined to provide her children with better education. She was brave and fearless in the pursuit of happiness for her family. She worked and worked until one day, the deadly disease, cancer, took over her body. She fought until she could not fight anymore. She continued working even with cancer. On the last week of her life, she cried to her family and said "what is going to happen to my children? I am not scared of death, I am scared for my children." Her body became weak by the day and pain raised. Her innocent and tired eyes made it evident.  Whenever asked about her pain though, she would respond with saddened eyes and say, "its not worse than the pain my heart is feeling. "

The worst fear became a dirty reality. She left this world. All her dreams and future plans were abruptly aborted. Her body became so weak she could not say her last goodbyes to her children. Sohaila was my aunt, my ama jan. This campaign is to raise money to fulfill her dreams of providing a better life for her children who are left without a mother in Afghanistan. Being a daughter, I can’t image what it feels like losing a parent. And for those who are parents of young children, I can’t image the feeling of knowing you will not be able to see your young children grow. Just thinking about the thought gives my heart a pain I have never experienced before.

I cannot ease the pain of their heart after losing their beloved mother, but I can try to help ease their life by financial support. Life is hard in a third world country. They are going to need help. I need your help to help them. Please donate, share, and like. Anything helps. Good bless you.
