Mother & Child Post Irma Evacuation

We are seeking assistance in getting a widowed mother and child out of Hurricane Irma ravaged St. Thomas, USVI. Scarlett's husband, J.D., unexpectedly passed away two years ago when their daughter, Zara, was a baby and they are now relying on their wonderful neighbors in times of need. Evacuation was not possible for them due to price-gouged airfares and now the two of them are stuck with no running water, no food, no electricity, and minimal safety. Our goal is to collect enough money for airfare for the two of them; Biscuit, the family dog; and some of their belongings. These unfortunate circumstances were unforeseen and unavoidable. We have arranged long-term living accommodations for them and an employment opportunity in Scarlett's line of work, here in Charleston, SC. Myself, Destiny, and many others greatly appreciate your consideration in helping this family in an extreme time of need. Any extra money over the goal amount will be donated to help others in St. Thomas, USVI that have been effected by Hurricane Irma.
