With all due respect to Governor's eventual contest to create a Statue to Mother Cabrini, this process will take a few years, and the way politics are today, maybe never.
New Yorkers can not wait that long for this Statue dedication to a true New York hero.
We can do this quickly with private funds and get it created to a 12 ft high bronze in about 6 - 8 months.

About Mother Cabrini
Saint France Xavier Cabrini
(July 15, 1850 - December 22, 1917)
Italian-American Roman Catholic nun, who founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a Catholic religious institute that was a major support to the Italian immigrants to the United States. She was the first naturalized citizen of the United States to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church, on July 7, 1946.
Patriot Artist, Scott LoBaido, long noted for his Americana artwork, creating sculptures and installations celebrating and elevating the human condition.
LoBaido, a 4th generation Italian-American, Catholic artist, has a personal connection to Mother Cabrini because she prayed over his great grandmother and cured her of consumption. The artist's family considers Mother Cabrini, to be their own Patron Saint.
