<div>The heartbreaking reality right now:
</div>
<div>It has been over four agonizing years since Velesha Burke fled a violently abusive home to protect her children. Today, in 2026, Velesha is facing a mother’s worst nightmare.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To avoid forced legal removal from Germany—which would have permanently stripped her of her legal rights to fight for her family—Velesha had to make the devastating decision to return to the United States alone. Her two children remain trapped in Germany with her abuser, Ivan Beauchamps.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Velesha is currently living in Maryland, working tirelessly to satisfy the courts and prove what has always been true: she is a fit, present, and loving mother. She has exhausted every resource she has to bring her children home, but the international legal system is incredibly complex and expensive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have a critical window to act, but we need your help to fund it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Velesha urgently needs to secure new, highly specialized legal representation in both the U.S. and Germany to mount a final, aggressive push to bring her children home. We are raising funds with a strict, immediate goal to cover these precise costs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Exactly How Your Donation Will Be Used:</strong>
</div>
<div>Transparency is our top priority. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>International Legal Retainers: </strong>Hiring aggressive, specialized new legal counsel in both the U.S. and Germany who understand the Hague Convention and international custody law.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Emergency Travel Logistics:</strong> The exact cost of last-minute, one-way international flights to bring the children safely from Germany back to the United States the moment they are released.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are trying to raise these funds in the next 14 days to ensure her new legal team can meet upcoming international filing deadlines. A donation of any size bridges the gap between a mother and her stolen children.
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>For First-Time Readers: How We Got Here</strong>
</div>
<div>If you are new to Velesha’s story, this nightmare began on December 25, 2021. Velesha and her children fled their home in Sindelfingen, Germany, seeking asylum from the severe domestic abuse and violence inflicted by her husband, Ivan Beauchamps.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The abuse was both physical and psychological. For months, Ivan locked the doors to every room in the house—except Velesha’s separate bedroom and the children’s rooms—frequently restricting their access to basic human needs and technology.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>A System Stacked Against a Survivor:</strong>
</div>
<div>After fleeing to a domestic violence safehouse, Velesha attempted to fly back to her home country (the U.S., where she is a citizen). She couldn't. Months prior, her husband had stolen the children’s passports and refused to return them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Velesha immediately contacted the German police and the United States Consulate for emergency passports, only to discover her abuser had placed a travel ban on her and the children. Despite Velesha being the daily, primary caregiver—and despite her living in a protected safehouse to escape his violence—a German judge initially ruled in her husband's favor.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For years, Velesha has fought this injustice. She has done everything right. She just needs the financial backing to finish the fight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the U.S., Velesha and her children have a village of love, family support, and protection waiting for them. Please help us get these children out of an abusive environment and back into the arms of their mother.
