Help Feed Displaced Mosul Infants

With temperatures rising, the living conditions in refugee camps in Iraq are becoming unbearable. Thousands of children, women and men from Mosul are cramped in camps where relief organizations are struggling to meet basic needs. In such a dire and distressing environment, infants have become most affected, as they are experiencing severe malnutrition, dehydration and skin irritations. Mothers find themselves tired and traumatised and consequently unable to breastfeed. In short, many infants are starving and in pain.

My family is trying to do its part, but we also urgently need your help. We’re seeking donations to provide infant formula, nappy rash cream and oral rehydration therapy (ORT) for these malnourished infants. We need minimum $50 to be able to provide a month worth of infant formula, nappy rash cream and ORT per a baby.

A group of local volunteers and I will assemble the items according to the needs and will deliver them to the camps with coordination of local authorities and relief organizations on the ground. I am currently in Iraqi Kurdistan and will oversee the entire project by myself.
