Hello!
My name is Astrid Turner and I am the founder of Mossflower Dance Academy. I am a homeschooling mother of three who knows all too well how expensive and intensive extracurricular and social activities are families who choose to homeschool. For that reason, I started offering my services as a dance teacher to a very small group of friends in my local town. Word spread, and now I offer additional days for classes, and have tripled our number of participating families in less than a year! I am very excited and happy to offer dance classes to families who may not be able to afford dance studio tuition and recital fees. We function as a co-op, splitting the cost of the studio rental (Prairie Grove Town Center), and supplies.
Our dance classes at Mossflower Dance Academy are very informal and laid-back. My goal is to make affordable dance classes available to every child. It is my belief that every child should be able to try dance classes without being held back by financial cost. It is also my hope that at least some of my students will discover how much they love dance and will move on to more advanced classes. You never know until you try!
I am not sure how long our program will be available, as this will depend on cooperation from local families and *hopefully* outside grants or donations from ones like yourself. The fact that your reading this shows you either like dance and or you value teaching children. Either way your donation will be very appreciated by me and the children and families that are benefiting from this dance education!!
