As we all know, this isn't an easy time for our beloved restaurants and bars becoming the cannon fodder in the front lines of the world vs. COVID-19! Mortimer's Cafè & Pub alone has become a veteran in fighting for its survival. Clawing its way through The Epicentre bankruptcies, new property management groups, Charlotte riots, a rise in violence and the homeless population using The Epi as a hostile. Mortimers faces its biggest challenge yet as we try to keep our flag waving inside of a vacant venue that by most perceptions looks shuttered from the street. Mortimers was our first venture into the world of food and beverage which began 10 short years ago. We had a plan in 2010 to open an American Pub that welcomed you as you are with smiles and high fives, cold drinks and of course hot panini's. Mort's spawned three more brands with a total of five locations that were once thriving businesses which at one time provided mini economies where our incredible staffs were able to provide for themselves and live freely. All stores are now struggling in this nouveau Armageddon but still maintaining in current conditions, although Mortimers has had the toughest time. We were close to closing the doors last week until our network came upon an epiphany. Since we are a sandwich shop which travel the best in a to go format and there are thousands of healthcare workers browbeaten by the influx of COVID-19 cases, let's find a way to feed them!Well it seems like we have. Your donations will pay for the meals that will go directly to medical facilities fighting this faceless enemy.
Let me be clear. You donate and you help us feed, doctors, nurses, assistants, admins and all the rest of the brave Americans providing care for those in desperate need. Let me also be clear that these donations cannot end today or tomorrow! They must come through in droves every single day until we flatten the curve and and prevail on the front lines of this world war. We can only feed the soldier's on the front line if you donate your love! So I ask you today and every day to open your hearts and your wallets to all of these brave people including our tenable staff at Mortimers Cafe and Pub! We need your help! Remember how many times we have been there for you in the past, how many times or staff has welcomed you with opened arms and given you nothing but pure love! If you are still securely employed and have a steady stream of income and you and your family are in a strong and stable position help Mortimers and the health care workers every day until we have overcome this incredible battle we have all been forced to face.
It is our intention to provide as many lunches as possible, every day that we can, to our surrounding medical offices and hospitals but we can only do it with all of your good graces.
