Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering

Can you help the Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering to keep going in 2024 despite continuing problems and uncertainties caused by the impact of Covid over the last four years? Our prices have gone up drastically and our small publicly-funded subsidy has just been slashed - but our valiant but much-reduced voluntary committee is working to bring together wonderful performers for the annual spring-time festival showcasing the best of NE England's traditional music, dance, dialect, art, craft and heritage. We kept going online during Covid, eating into our reserves, resuming with in-person events last year, and audiences and income are still growing, but there is still a long way to go. So we are keeping this appeal going as we need to raise money in aid of our parent body, MORPETH ANTIQUARIAN SOCIETY, a registered charity. Every donation received now will help towards the cost of staging the 56th annual Morpeth Gathering from 5th to 7th April 2024 and also restoring our financial reserves which have been severely eaten into since 2020. Thank you in advance for your contribution, which will ensure the Gathering has a future.
