Morgan McCoy Fund

The last few weeks have been unbelievably difficult  for Morgan who has been in ICU at a hospital in the Houston Medical Center. In an effort to respect her privacy, her family had not shared many details until this week, truly believing this is Morgan’s story to tell.

In Oct 2018 Morgan was diagnosed with sudden onset of Ulcerative Colitis (UC), a disease of the colon which has no known cause or cure, and the family chose to keep this private until now.   On October 10th Morgan went into the ER for a blood clot, most likely related to her UC medications.  Unfortunately, a turn of events has taken the family on a roller coaster  ride of complications and surgeries.  Last week an infection cost Morgan not only her colon but also her right leg.  Her life is forever changed.

As we all know, Morgan is strong and can do anything she sets her mind to. Give her a plan and Morgan is on it.  Morgan’s will, faith in God and unyielding dedication will be what she needs to develop her new plan.  As Morgan enters this next phase in her life, please hold her and her family in your prayers and thoughts.  As you can imagine, any person with a life altering event will struggle and she will certainly need your love and support as she battles her circumstances.

The support of their family and friends is currently allowing Mike, Grant and  Sarah to stay focused on helping Morgan.  To that end, we know that Morgan will have many unforeseen expenses and for all those who have expressed a desire to help, we have created this Fund for the family.
