Morgan Hoerner College Fund

The purpose of this fund is to raise money to help put my niece Morgan through college in a few years. She'll be going into 10th grade later this fall. Sadly, her mother, my sister, Christine passed away on June 22, 2020 from her battle with stage 4 colon cancer. She was only 43. But she fought hard, with everything she had until her very last day. She inspired all of us so very much. Christine was a kindergarten and elementary school teacher in Cape Coral, FL, had her Master of Arts in Gifted Education, truly loved her job and being able to teach/mentor so many children. It was her passion and I know she wants Morgan to have access to higher education without having to worry about the cost like so many of us have, especially now that she is gone.

This has been an incredibly hard time for our family and for Morgan. We have had several people ask if we had any type of fund or account set up for Morgan so they could donate on her behalf to help with her education expenses going forward. We were touched by this sentiment and felt it would be a wonderful idea to set something up for her. We will be setting up a FBO ("for the benefit of") account with our bank for Morgan and will deposit any donations from GoFundMe into her FBO account which she can access for her higher education expenses when the time comes. 

Please know that any donation, no matter how big or small, is very much appreciated and every little bit adds up. We will likely keep this fund open for a while since there is no rush or deadline to gather funds. College is still 3 years off.
