We have this GoFundMe because of the crisis that is happening with the children coming to America as refugees. UNHCR states that refugee children are five times more likely to be not in school than American children, roughly three and a half million children. They are leaving their home country due to political or religious persecution, war, and violence.
Children are coming to America with nothing, so Hope Care and Beyond gets involved. More than a backpack is a project of HCB, where we provide the necessary school supplies and books. We connect with refugee children on weekly basis and see the impact education has on them. For as little as $25, you can provide all the needed supplies for a child.
