Milton is scheduled for Oral surgery with Dr. Berning in Columbus Ohio on September 20, 2021.
With pre+post op exam, bloodwork and meds the min will be $2,600
Milton has extensive gum tissue overgrowth that is also on his palate. This requires removal and re-contouring of the tissue, since this may hide bacteria and lead to infection and bone loss. They may have to pull teeth if there is bone loss.
It is not an emergency but must be done in the next few months.
Pray it is NOT cancer! We will know after surgery. All prayers welcomed, thank you-prayer works!

As my service animal, Milton has been all over the country. He has worked hard to help me through life's darkest moments. In between, Milton has taught many children to be brave and loved the elderly where I volunteered. I hope this surgery will let Milton give kisses for years to come!
In 2017 I started to notice Milton's gums were swelling. The veterinarian said it was Epulis , normal for a Boxer. I began diligently cleaning his teeth daily, making his food and researching the condition. I even got pet insurance, only to discover that it does not cover this particular issue. Now, his gums have grown over 80% of his teeth. He has a hard time chewing bones, his gums are very swollen and bright red.
Milton is a trooper, letting me clean his mouth every day and trying everything from hemp oil to colloidal silver. We now have to take drastic action and remove the over growth surgically as to avoid infection and heart disease.

She has quoted up to $5,500 for the surgery.
Pre-op bloodwork is $150 and post op follow-up should be $95.
I was approved for $1,100 Care Credit, and have saved $500, I am hoping to raise the remaining amount over the summer. I have taken a third job cleaning Air B&B's to chip away at this upcoming cost!
