Education 4 threatened young woman

The challenges to young women in Sub-Saharan East Africa are many - forced preteen marriage, polygamist marriage, early teen pregnancy, FGM and lack of educational opportunities to name a few. Having travelled (a number of times) to this region we have seen the magnitude of the challenges young women face.

We can't change EVERYTHING but together we can change SOMETHING.

We are asking you to help us by asking friends and family to redirect birthday giving from YOU to a young woman in need. We call this campaign "More Important than Coffee" because the original idea was to ask friends to give up coffee for a week and let those savings become the donation. We ask you to ask your friends to divert gift giving and some personal spending for a few days around your birthday and to donate the savings to help a person in need.
