Help Bring “Morality Emergency: Break to Indulge” to Burning Man 2025!

Dear Friends, Dreamers, Fellow Burners, and Sinners,

I’m bringing an ambitious new art installation, “Morality Emergency:Break to Indulge,” to Burning Man 2025—and I need your help to make it happen! This interactive piece reimagines the Seven Deadly Sins as “Break in Case of Emergency” boxes, each containing a symbolic Burning Man-style cure for indulgent desires. At its heart stands a futuristic chapel with a confession chamber, where participants can publicly confess their sins by writing them on its walls. A graveyard of ominous warnings lead visitors into a dystopian landscape where judgment is no longer private but a public spectacle.

In a world where political and religious extremism blur the lines between morality and control, this piece asks: What happens when confession becomes performance? At the end of the week, all confessions will be consumed by fire—one final act of communal purification and redemption.

Why I need YOUR help

Burning Man fosters radical self-expression, but building large-scale interactive art in the desert isn’t cheap. I’m raising $10,000 to cover:

✅ Materials to build the chapel, confession chamber, futuristic break boxes, large sails, an acrylic graveyard, and other thematic elements

✅ Transportation of the installation to and from Black Rock City and Chicago, this will be our largest cost!

✅ Lighting, signage, and interactive elements

✅ Tools, hardware, and safety equipment

✅ Art requires a Art Support Camp, we need to be able to support volunteers who are spending weeks in the desert to ensure our piece stays safe and secure, this includes food, water, shelter, and transportation

As a thank-you:

$25+ – Your name will be inscribed inside the beams of the chapel as an honorary contributor.

$100+ – You’ll receive a “Emergency Indulgence” token as a keepsake.

$250+ – A personal handwritten confession (or message of your choice) will be burned at the final ceremony.

$500+ - You’ll receive a Sin Survival Kit, everything you need to indulge a little more before you’re forced to confess!

$1000+ – You get to choose a sin to feature in the installation, along with a custom message or item inside one of the emergency boxes.
