<div>Moose is a sweet and handsome young male Great Pyrenees. We think he’s about a year old and he’s the sweetest goof we’ve met in a while. He was found stray in central CA.. he has unfortunately spent most of his life (6mo) hopping between shelters and rescues and yet he has maintained a happy and bold spirit. He loves all people (all sizes) and all animals! He has the biggest heart and knows basic commands and will do great indoors or outdoors and even on a leash. He has been working on recall.. While at his last rescue, he was mistreated and it was diagnosed that his right hind knee needed an ACL+luxating patella+DFO surgery which costs a lot of money. The rescue concealed his true X-rays and were moving forward to amputate his leg, instead of providing him the right medical care. This would have likely led to him being unable to walk within a few years per our ortho consult. We unfortunately learned that the same unnamed rescue has done this to many other dogs… which we weren’t able to intercept.

<div>His fosters quickly adopted him to save him from the rescue and Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta has stepped up to take him in and give the tender love and care much needed, for the first time in his life!!! We need your help to best support Moose’s medical needs to have him setup for success and have him lead the best life despite his horrific past. He will forever be grateful and give you endless kisses as he is such a happy soul. Please help save Moose!
