Moore Support

Shae has been through so many ups and downs recently.

On her first visit to the hospital there were complications. She was given a new diabetic medication, however because of an overlook of her high triglycerides, she developed pancreatitis. This resulted in a horrible 17 day hospital stay.

Her first follow up after the hospital stay was with a new doctor that decided to take her off of all of her medications for a fresh start.  No medication caused her triglycerides to shoot up to over 10,000 even though normally they should be 150.  This resulted in a return to the hospital,  but this time more issues developed. Her kidneys began to fail, she was placed on a ventilator, and fluid developed in her lungs. Shae had to be resuscitated many times.

She is now on dialysis, her blood count is very low, and that has brought up difficult issues. Things have been up and down down for over a month. The family is updated every three hours with good or bad news. “We currently live in the hospital.” -JM

They have stabilized her for now but she continues to be the sickest person in the hospital and in ICU. “Jehovah has never left our side. He has literally moved our legs from point A to point B each day.” - Jeremy & Hollie Moore.

Recently, the hospital realized that there was nothing more they could offer her so they made arrangements for her to be airlifted to Oschner’s Hospital in New Orleans where there is a pancreatic specialist. She is currently in stable condition and regaining kidney function. There’s still a long road ahead but there’s light.

Shae has continued to be a fighter, wiping out every obsticle in her path. Her very first concern when she went into the hospital was meeting her goal for regular pioneering and being missing from her ASL group whom she affectionately referred to as “her people”. “She is the best part of her dad and I. And Jehovah continues to extend us the privilege of being apart of her life. I could write a book but to sum it up, she is the very best person I know!” - HM

The family has spent all of their time by Shae’s side and haven’t even had a moment to think of how they will take care of everyday finances. This will give them one less thing to worry about in such a difficult time. All is appreciated!
