Moore County Pet Oxygen Masks Needed!

The "Moore County Pet Oxygen Masks" program was started by the MCLI Class of 2019 (Moore County Leadership Institute). It is a fundraising and awareness program for pets that get caught in house fires in Moore County. Animals tend to hide during a fire instead of running outside and can die from smoke asphyxiation. In order to revive them, firefighters need special equipment such as pet oxygen masks.

Our Mission
To create a sustainable program to raise awareness of pet fire safety issues that directly impact Moore County residents.
Our Reason
Fires are reported every 73 seconds. An estimated 500,000 pets are affected annually by fires. 40,000 pets die each year, mostly from smoke inhalation.
Our Goal:
To raise $4,180 by December 2019, in order to supply each of Moore County’s 22 fire stations with at least two Pet Oxygen Mask sets.

Pet Oxygen Masks Details
The masks are cone-shaped with a rubber seal at the base to allow a snug fit. This is important because it forces the mouth shut to deliver air directly into the nostrils. Offering a continuous and accurate direct flow of pure oxygen. This makes recovery quicker and more effective. Each set comes with three different sized masks to ensure the right fit for various animals. The masks are durable, washable and reusable. Withdrawal Plan
MCLI plan to withdraw the funds from the GoFundMe page and present a check to Moore County Public Safty. We both will purchase the Pet Oxygen Masks from https://www.petoxygenmasks.org with the money donated.
