EXPANSION | Unique Local Bodywork, Yoga, Wellness Center Spreading it’s Wings
Mookshi Wellness Center opened in the Regent Square community of Pittsburgh, Pa in the Fall of 2012. Started up by Cara Freidheim, Yoga, Bodywork, & Ayurvedic Therapist, she saw the need, and heard the desire of Regent Square residents and it’s neighboring communities to have more access to healing arts & services in the area. She opened on faith, and was quickly joined by a few practitioners initiating yoga classes, bodywork and educational seminars of their own. Mookshi now offers an intriguing array of unique classes and bodywork to it’s patrons, such as Chakra Yoga, RolfYoga, Kids Yoga, Massage Therapy, Ayurvedic Healing Therapies, Thai Massage, Sound Healing, Structural Integration, Reiki Therapy & Trainings, Detox & Cleansing Programs, Infrared Sauna Therapy... just to name a few. Mookshi also holds space for private parties and events. After only two years, Mookshi has doubled in practitioner occupancy, due both to the joy of working there and demand, as yoga classes are leaning towards full capacity. What current members and guests appreciate is the genuineness and level of knowledge that all of Mookshi’s practitioner’s and educator’s provide. It’s been considered a home away from home by many! In April of 2015 we will be relocating to S. Trenton Ave (just a few doors down from where we are currently located) to a space with twice our current square footage!
Here’s where your support and donations come in, and what we’re looking to proceed with in the future growth of this center for healing in it’s new location:
What funds will go towards:
~Build out of New Space (walls, flooring, lighting, sound proofing, etc.)
~Proper Staffing for optimal service (i.e a receptionist & cleaning service)
~Build out & design for a public Meditation Garden/Outdoor Yoga Space
~Rewards program for members
~Commission of Local Artists to do installations for yoga studio & meditation garden
~Advanced Practitioner Trainings Programs
~Expansion of our Wellness Boutique so we may provide you with more high quality products to support your healthy lifestyle
Why Fund Us?
Mookshi is unlike any other wellness center in Pittsburgh. We are unrivaled by any other center in the area simply based on our diverse list of services and the high level of education of our practitioners. Regent Square residents do not need to travel far for excellent care, for most it’s just a few blocks away. We’ve seen the demand and interest peak in a short period of time and are looking to be able to enhance the list of services we offer to the community. The new space will be on the ground level and wheelchair accessible which the current location is not. This means a greater number of people can partake of the wellness and healing therapies we offer. Our intention in with the new location is to make available services and class to all ages and physical ability.
With rising interest and demand of natural health, wellness knowledge, services and products; Mookshi is asking the community to help support the initial growing pains with this upcoming expansion. We are delighted that the business has taken off in the way that it has and we’re pleased we can bring you more in 2015.
