Monty’s Life-Saving DerpFace Fund

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan and this ridiculously photogenic young man’s name is Monty. Monty has been my girlfriend Jenna’s main squeeze for over 10 years (that’s including our time together… It’s okay, I know I’m second to this guy) and counting. For many of you I don’t need to tell you how amazing Monty is, but for those of you who need some background, this fella is one special guy. I have known him for a bit more than a year, and I have grown so fond of having him around.  He’s a best friend, a shoulder to cry on, and his happiness is contagious.  He is actually quite famous in the three states he’s lived in:  Any time he is out with Jenna, she is utterly invisible behind his sheer personality and glee; everyone sees Monty first.

Monty was recently diagnosed with Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma, which is a nearly unpronounceable name for “aggressive mouth cancer”.  It’s a fast spreading cancer but luckily does not metastasize.  He recently had an appointment with the world-class doctors at the CSU oncology department, and after a CT scan they are extremely confident that with a surgery removing part of his jaw, he can live a complete life in total remission with little to no quality of life issues, although he will have a derp just like his sister, Calliope.

The surgery to remove the affected area will run about $2,500 in total, and Jenna has already spent almost $2,500 for Monty’s first surgery, biopsy, CT scan, and vet visits.  I am trying to help in any way that I can.  Jenna has dedicated her life to work in the non-profit world benefitting animals and kids in need.  Regrettably the NPO world does not pay particularly well, thus making this life-saving procedure difficult to fund on her salary alone.  This is simply not doable without your help. It is very much out of character for either Jenna or myself to ask for help in this way, but if you do choose to give and help Monty out, please consider it an investment in the lives that Monty is bound to enlighten with his presence.  He truly is a goof, and he deserves the opportunity to bring that goofiness to everyone he can.  And I’m sure we can all look forward to many Monty derp face photos for years to come!

On behalf of Mr. Montague, his family, and everyone who loves him, please consider helping out in any way that you can.  Thank you so much.

All the best,

Ryan Neff
