This community-led fundraising page has been set up due to the high number of requests and inquiries from people wanting to help and donate money/items to Montserrat to support its Coronavirus response.
Montserrat, a British Overseas Territory in the West Indies, is the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean.
As of 25th March, we have 2 confirmed positive cases. Whilst we recognize that the Government is taking increasingly restrictive measures to stem the tide, this global public health crisis is unprecedented and constantly evolving.
Our frontline health teams are truly amazing, and already doing so much. It would be great if we could help to let them know that we are there for them, just as they are for us.
If you can help, that is great! If not, we fully understand and you can feel free to share this campaign.
Funds raised will be used to support existing funding streams for our health service professionals, to ensure they have everything they need to keep us safe and protected.
Should Montserrat be blessed enough to mitigate the COVID-19 threat in short order, all monies raised will be used for future emergency preparedness of our hospital and healthcare system.

When all of this is over, we look forward to getting back to reality, and perhaps even thanking some of you personally over a bowl of goat water (our national dish) or a glass or two of bush rum.
