Monterrey Service Project

          Help the Wingren Study Center make a lasting contribution to our upcoming Spring Break!

          From March 9 to 17, we will embark on a journey of service to the city of Monterrey, Mexico
with Wingren Study Center. We are a group of undergraduate students at the University of Dallas
that will put our talents and youthfulness at the service of Ciudad de Los Niños, a school for children
from low-income families in the greater Monterrey area. For over fifty years, this institution has been
responsible for the enrichment of many underprivileged families by educating young people and
providing programs of formation for parents as well.

          Over 25 years ago, university men from the University of Dallas ventured to the school for the
first time, thus giving birth to a tradition that has carried on over the years. Wingren Study Center,
the sponsor of the trip, has close ties with Ciudad de Los Niños, which looks forward every year to the
help and friendship of our energetic group of young men.

          The school, which strives to provide its at-risk students from poor families with the best
education possible, has embarked on a project to install fiber-optic internet cable throughout its
campus. Our mission is to help dig the necessary 1,300 meters of trenches. We are asking for
contributions to help cover the remaining $6,800 of project expenses, and also to defray travel and
lodging costs.

          Please help us make this trip a reality and bring support to Ciudad de Los Niños.
