MonsterTalk has been around for ten years and a few weeks ago we decided to go independent. I've set up a company called Monster House, LLC and am producing several new properties. What I want to do is give the MonsterTalk a beautiful redesign that incorporates some custom art. I've commissioned art from George Coghill whose work I love. My goal is to have a collection of quality artwork whose copyright will be owned by the show so we can use it for a variety of merchandise and design elements.
I can eventually pay for this myself, but it will take several months to save up the money. I know many of our listeners have wanted to buy MonsterTalk merchandise and the faster I can pay for these assets, the faster we can get the site setup and the store opened.
MonsterTalk has always been a personally expensive endeavor for me, but I also know that we've got listeners that want to provide support.
I'm trying to get $2500. This will cover the art assets for the new overall MosnsterTalk Logo, plus custom artwork for our Patreon tiers. It will also cover my first year of hosting costs for the site and for LibSyn.
If we raise more than $2500 (wow, that would be awesome) it will speed up the delivery of new shows from MonsterHouse. At $2800 we would be able to cover one of the new shows. At $3300 we'd be able to get out two, and at $3600 I'd be able to release all four of the shows I've been working on. That would be epic - but for now, I'd be delighted just to help cover the cost of the artwork.
