Senior Mission's Trip

Hello!

My name is Monik (but most people call me Mo) and I am a Senior at Chicago Hope Academy. 

Although many seniors have "prom season" approaching, we at CHA have Mexico on our minds! 

Instead of having a prom, the senior class travels to Mexico on a Mission's trip over spring break. On this trip, we travel with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) to build homes for struggling families. We do this because my school is founded on the central idea found in 1st John 13: 13-15. This verse tells us the importance behind humbling ourselves and following the example of a servant that Christ has set out before us.

For many of the families we build homes for, it is the first time they have had a home with a solid floor, walls, and plumbing. Luckily my school only requires us to pay $500 to cover this entire trip. However,  the reason why my goal is over the $500 amount is because I am also the photographer/videographer at my school. With that being said, I have the pleasure of being in charge of all the video and photography for this year's trip. My goal is to not only obtain the $500 but to also have enough money to get some new camera gear in order to ensure the  best-finished product possible.
