IBC = INFLAMMATORY BREAST CANCER!
We are raising funds, for my sister Monika, to help cover her immediate medical needs to fight breast cancer!
Monika finished Chemo, then had her MASTECTOMY on May 4th, 2015. During the summer she went through a rigorous radiation treatment 5 days a week for 8 weeks. Now she is preparing for her second surgery on October 6th, 2015.
The funds are helping to offset the tremendous expenses of having cancer while living on a fixed income.
BACKGROUND INFO:
After almost 18 years of Cancer-free living, Monika was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) this last October of 2014. STAGE 3c - INFLAMMATORY BREAST CANCER - the most RARE and AGGRESSIVE form of Breast Cancer which occurs in only 1 to 4 percent of those who have Breast Cancer in their bodies.
The cancer is restricted to the precise area where the first cancer was - however, this time it came back as a hardened cluster of cells that seemed to grow in a circular motion, along with two additional lumps in the neck and collarbone areas.
With an already tight Social Security budget, no additional funds for such an unexpected shock in her life, and finding out that there are all sort of extra costs to cancer that are unanticipated and unexpected, we are reaching out to our friends ~
This is a long journey, and she is now entering the second surgery and recovery phase of the treatments to work toward the healing of this aggressive cancer.
We are asking for your support throughout this long process, Monika still has a long way to go to beat this horrific, rare and aggressive cancer.
She still has too much to live for - and TIME IS SO PRECIOUS!
