Monica & Chico Lost Home in Fire

The unthinkable has happened to our dear friend Monica & her dog, Chico. Early in the morning on Monday, October 9th, they were evaucuated from their home in Santa Rosa, CA due to the Tubbs Fire. Being the selfless soul she is, Monica immediately began coordinating relief efforts for the community, despite not knowing the condition of her own home. On Tuesday, October 10th, Monica learned her home was lost in the fire.
Not only has Monica dedicated her career to serving children of need in Sonoma County, she also serves as the Child Protection Officer for The SchoolBox Project non-profit. She has traveled around around the world to help others, most recently providing services to Syrian refugees in Greece and driving a bus to Houston to help children affected by Hurricane Harvey.
