Beards&Blaggards - Charity Car Rally 2023

Hi, On behalf of our team, Beards&Blaggards, I would like to welcome you to our fundraising page for the a charity car rally.Our team is comprised of four childhood friends, who share a love of excitement, adventure, and giving back to those in need. We will be starting from Leixlip, Ireland, in July 2023, in a completely unsuitable, and un-airconditioned 1998 Toyota Corolla. Initially, we’ll be heading to a Vienna, Austria to pick up a member of our team, from there we will head east, attempting to skirt our way around bodies of water, border restrictions, and war zones. Our aim is to keep our wheels turning, until we reach the finish line in Central Asia, some 12,500km away. We hope to make some good memories, questionable decisions, and raise money for some worthy causes. The charities we have chosen to support are Mental Health Ireland and The Irish Hospice Foundation. Mental Health Ireland is an Irish mental health charity dealing with the promotion of mental health, supporting people with lived experience of mental health challenges in their recovery and bringing practical expression to national policy objectives. The Irish Hospice Foundation is a national charity that addresses dying, death and bereavement in Ireland. Their vision is an Ireland where people facing end of life or bereavement, and those who care for them, are provided with the care and support that they need.
