Moneyble - Personal Budgeting app
Donation protected
I believe in free apps. With no ads and no limitations. For personal use. Business paid apps - sure. That's a different story. But personal apps that are simple to use - should not be too complicated to build. I have created Personal Budgeting app for Windows. It is fully functional and completely free. I have published it on the website. http://moneyble.com People are downloading and are using it. Feedback has been mostly positive so far. It is been up for several years now. But a few pieces has fallen apart. (1) Mobile app for Android phone which has basic functionality stopped working. And I don't have experience with Android. So I didn't fix it. (2) Website got hacked. And needs to be redone.
There are a lot of Personal Finance apps already on the market. Yet there are not too many that can give you advanced analytics. I want to know not just how much I've spent this month. But how much I've spent comparing to last month or same month last year. What's my trend? Am I getting better at saving? Is my net worth growing? Should I pay off my mortgage with savings? Or am I better off investing it in stocks. Of course you can find some of the answers by reading online forums and watching youtube. Hey, you can learn anything from youtube. :-) But it is so much more interesting to compare other people's experiences with your own financial picture. And see what impact your decisions have on your financial well-being. And look at the numbers that prove it. I prefer to spend an hour twice a month and know what my financial abilities are than being in the dark and trying to "guestimate" it.
About Me
I am Sergei Overko. I am a lucky dad of four. Software development is my passion (a close second after my family). I have started Moneyble project to manage my own finances. I wanted something more advanced than what's offered by Mint or similar services. Besides I can't say I trust an online 3rd party. I prefer local storage. I was using Excel. But eventually the more data I had - the slower my Excel file had become. Besides it took so much time to enter and reconcile all the transactions. Even when I did summarized/round up entries. I knew I am not alone. Many people I've asked are using Excel to manage personal finances. So I set a goal to create a software that would be as flexible as Excel but would allow automatic bank statement import, would not get slowed down by transaction volume and would give me more analytics than high-level online offerings.
How I will use your money
So far the website and any development tools licenses has been financed from my own pocket. It is my hobby after all. :-)
I need help with...
1) Android version re-development 6,000
2) Website redesign, Domain/hosting for next 5 years 1,500
3) Development Tools License renewal, IDE, new libs, Code singing certificate 2,500
In addition to financial help... if you are into personal budgets - you can try Moneyble. Windows version is fully functional. Enjoy. I am very interested to hear your feedback. Your feedback is what makes this project going so far. Reach out with your suggestions. You can find my contact info within the application's Help -> About section or on the website.

Why
I would like to see more software being developed that is ads free. Inserting ads in the application became really the single source of income for individual developers. We can all tune out during a commercial when watching a movie. But when you are doing something on your laptop or phone and suddenly an ad pops up right in your face. That just kills a good product.
Of course a small donation is not going to change all that. But I believe even a small example of how an app can exist with support from the user community is inspiring for a lot of individual software developers like myself.
Be part of this project by making a donation. Let's create something
